Thanks for your patience re: RBY and UXG. After a bit of research, we found nothing to suggest the near-term likelihood of your idea; however, it does seem logical.

Perhaps the best question for us to ask is why Rob McEwen would want to own several gold companies (UXG, RBY, and MNEAF) as opposed to consolidating them?

Well, if we go back a bit to the early 90's we can see that McEwen's strategy was to grow through consolidation. Goldcorp was the product of his efforts to consolidate several small companies in order to create a more profitable giant miner.

Under McEwen, US Gold and Rubicon have become exploration companies with goals of simply finding huge discoveries next to a major mining operation.

In short, it just seems like McEwen is using a different strategy this time and might not be looking to create another major miner.

You're absolutely right, Taseko was actually considered. Since Taseko focuses primarily on copper, we decided to stick with our top 10 gold mining/exploration companies (and 1 silver potential) instead.

I am surprised you didn't mention Taseko Mines??? They have one of the largest undeveloped gold copper mines in the world. Also RBY might work something out with UXG to consolidate both their Canadian assets with Nevada and Mexico. Tell me what you think.
